The Speed/Interval program will include up-tempo training, hills, fartleks, intervals (on or off a track pending availability), etc. This program is appropriate for new and competitive runners — volume/intensity will be adjusted to fit your individual needs.
One Loudoun/Ashburn: Tuesdays from 6:30pm – 7:30pm (starts 12/5)
Burke: Tuesdays from 6:30pm – 7:30pm (starts 12/5)
Reston: Wednesdays from 6:45pm – 7:45pm (starts 12/6)
Vienna: Sundays from 10am – 11am (starts 12/3 at 10:30am first day only)
Note: due to darkness, reflective gear and headlamps/other run lights are required to participate safely in our Ashburn, Burke, and Reston training groups.
With athletes focused on varied race distances in the spring, the Endurance/Distance program will not have a formal training plan geared toward a particular race distance, instead will offer weekly run distances/effort levels tailored to participants, from beginner to experienced. This program is appropriate for new and competitive runners.
Burke: Saturdays at 8am
Reston: There will be no Reston program this winter. We encourage Reston-based runners to consider the Winter Speed/Interval session in Reston, the Burke site for Endurance/Distance training, and the Mid-Distance/CUCB training program in Reston that starts in late January.
